Openings

Restaurateur, television star and philanthropist Lisa Vanderpump and husband Ken Todd have opened Vanderpump à Paris, at Paris Las Vegas. The couple’s 36th establishment and second Las Vegas venue joins its Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace. Located adjacent to the Paris front desk, the space features approximately 200 seats with multiple seating areas, all with plush fabrics and intricate details. Similar to Vanderpump's other locations, the cocktail menu features unique and never-before-seen offerings including the Tickle Your Fancylightly-spiced white peach and pink peppercorn margarita; and the Riviera Rulesa play on a traditional cucumber martini but with basil, mint and a subtle lavender water rinse. The wine list includes several from France and the Vanderpump Family signature branded Rosé, Chardonnay and Cabernet. Hours are 4 p.m.-midnight daily. Illuminarium Las Vegas, a tech-driven immersive 360-degree cinematic entertainment experience, is now open at Area15. Launching with the opening is Lumin Café & Kitchen, a partnership with husband-wife business partners Elizabeth Blau and chef Kim Canteenwalla of Blau + Associates. The space features wood accents, floating white oak trellis interspersed with lush plants, natural light and an outdoor covered patio with a full-service bar. The menu offers breakfast items such as breakfast sandwich, Greek yogurt parfait and berry smoothie; small plates including pretzel bites and tater tot poutine; large plates such as fish & chips and Korean fried chicken; impossible, classic and Lumin burgers; sweet treats like dark chocolate chip cookies, s’mores nachos and milkshakes; and late-night items such as hot chicken sliders and crispy arancini. Lumin Café & Kitchen is open daily from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and the patio Sun.-Thu. 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Fri.-Sat. till 2 a.m. Tickets to Illuminarium are not required to visit Lumin. Caesars Entertainment, in partnership with Nobu Restaurants, has opened a Nobu restaurant at Paris Las Vegas featuring chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature New Style Japanese cuisine. This new Nobu joins two other Vegas locations at Caesars Palace and Virgin Las Vegas. Situated adjacent to the newly opened Bobby’s Burger, the intimate space with 140 seats is adorned with natural wood design elements. The menu offers nigiri and sashimi from salmon and toro to jumbo clam and sea urchin; vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes; and Nobu favorites such as yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, black cod dry miso and wagyu tacos. The beverage menu includes an extensive list of Japanese sake, whisky, gin, vodka and beer; specialty cocktails like the Lychee & elderflower martini with Suntory Haku Vodka and Lychee & St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur; more than a dozen Mexican tequilas; and several single malt Scotch. Toasted Gastrobrunch, conceptualized by Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill owner Sami Ladeki, has opened a second location near the 215 Freeway and Rainbow. The décor features shelves lined with milk jugs, jars and porcelain chickens; a life-size Holstein cow; an open kitchen; and a large yellow awning in the patio. The expansive menu offers traditional favorites like omelets, pancakes, steak and eggs, breakfast burrito, sandwiches and salads; and innovative creations such as Elvis French toast with peanut butter, bananas, bacon and honey; Cali Benny with tomatoes, avocado and nut-free pesto hollandaise; and smoked brisket hash with rosemary, eggs, potatoes and chipotle cream. Complementing the fare are a variety of breakfast cocktails such as prickly pear mimosa, boozy start (with coffee, brandy, Grand Marnier and Kahlua) and Green Monster (with vodka, green bloody mix, shrimp, roasted jalapeño, bacon and stuffed olive). Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabhouse and Sports Bar is open at SAHARA. One of the group’s 19 locations in the US and its first full sized restaurant west of the Mississippi, a sports theme is evident with signed jerseys of pro athletes including Larry Bird, Shaquille O’Neil, Kolby Bryant and Las Vegas Raider Derek Carr; and the William Hill sports book situated inside the restaurant. The restaurant is known for its crab-centric menu items, including crab fries seasoned with Old Bay, crab cakes and crab pizza; and as the restaurant originated in Philadelphia, it’s no surprise that the menu features five Philly cheesesteak variations. More than 50 beers are offered like Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA and Cascade Vlad the Imp Aler Sour; and several local brews such as Bad Beat I Love NV Amber Ale, CraftHaus Dry Heat IPA, Banger Morning Joe Coffee Kolsch, Tenaya Creek Bonanza Brown and Lovelady Love Juice IPA. Delmonico Steakhouse Brings Back Lunch Service
Back by popular demand, lunch has returned to Delmonico Steakhouse, the Emeril Lagasse restaurant at The Venetian. Served Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., highlights of the menu from chef de cuisine Ivan Rojas include Creekstone Farms Angus tenderloin sandwich on focaccia bread with tomato balsamic chutney, savoy spinach and herb emulsion ($28); mushroom crusted Creekstone Farms petite filet medallions with smoked apple bacon and Emeril’s homemade Worcestershire sauce ($35); housemade pappardelle pasta with broccolini, wild mushrooms and nage butter sauce ($32); Delmonico’s bacon cheeseburger on brioche bun with cheddar cheese and apple bacon ($26); and strawberry shortcake on a sweet biscuit with vanilla pastry cream and fresh whipped cream ($11). Also offered is a lunch prix fixe menu for $50 per person inclusive of a starter, entree and dessert. Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa has appointed Donald Thompson as executive chef. His culinary inspiration began while growing up in Texas with a love for smoke, big meats and the simplicity of comfort food. Thompson has 23 years of experience in dining and has worked at fine dining destinations such as Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace. Chef Thompson’s new spring dishes include a roasted beet salad with honey yogurt goat cheese, pistachios and beet chips; hearth-roasted Scottish salmon with steam veggies, lemon glaze and fresh lemon; and a 32-ounce, 25-day-aged Tomahawk steak with garlic mashed potatoes and truffle jus (available as an off-the-menu special).
