PT’s Taverns, which operates a portfolio of 64 taverns throughout Southern Nevada, has kicked off this year’s professional and college football seasons with food and drink specials. Specials during games include chicken tenders served with fries and choice of sauce ($8); all-beef pretzel dog on a pretzel bun topped with housemade jalapeño jam ($12); animal tots—deep fried tater tots with seasoned ground beef, grilled onion and American cheese smothered in PT’s signature sauce ($4); crispy Korean beef tacos topped with sweet & spicy sauce ($8); housemade chicken empanadas stuffed with seasoned shredded chicken and accompanied by fresh salsa ($12); and beer buckets with choice of Budweiser, Bud Light or Michelob Ultra with the option to mix and match ($20).
Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge at Town Square has added some new items to its brunch menu, served Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. New items include skirt steak Benedict—poached egg, hollandaise sauce, grilled pain de mie and home fries ($13.99); chicken and French toast—brioche French toast, buttermilk crispy chicken, maple syrup and honey butter ($14.79); and brunch fries—seasoned potatoes with house-made beef gravy, fried egg and bacon ($11.79). Customer favorites remaining on the menu include carnitas nachos with slow-roasted shredded pork, Oaxaca cheese, guacamole, marinated cabbage, chipotle cream and house-made tortilla chips ($12.89); chilaquiles with fried eggs, lightly fried tortillas, Oaxaca cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo and mild roasted salsa ($10.99); short rib brunch—braised short ribs, poached eggs, home fries and hollandaise sauce ($13.99); arancini ($9.89); Mediterranean hummus ($11.59); and country brunch platter— fried eggs, smoked bacon, roasted potatoes and fresh fruit ($11.79). Anima by EDO, the small plates restaurant with roots in Spanish, Italian and Asian flavors located in The Gramercy at the 215 and Russell, is offering four tasting menus. The menus include the 8-course Vegetarian ($65 per person), 7-course Vegan ($60), 9-course Gluten-Free ($70) and 8-course Normale ($70). The Normale includes Peruvian baby scallops with rhubarb ponzu, créme fraiche and kalix caviar; cured tuna sashimi; farro & haricot vert; cacio e pepe croquetas; maltagliati (homemade sausage & porcini ragú); truffle cavatelli with salsichón; braised short ribs with semolina gnocchi; and strawberry granita. Rosa Ristorante chef/owner Rob Moore has launched a weekend brunch, served Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Highlights of the brunch menu include smoked salmon crostini with horseradish cream; truffle scrambled eggs with Fontina cheese and truffle aioli; steak & eggs with grilled skirt steak and roasted potatoes; chia pudding bowl with yogurt, berries, fruit, nuts and seeds; brioche French toast with caramelized Granny Smith apples and toasted pecan brown butter; and lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote and maple syrup. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is offering a steak & lobster pairing on Sundays. The three-course menu includes choice of Fleming’s salad (walnuts, tomatoes, dried cranberries, red onion and lemon balsamic vinaigrette) or Caesar salad (with fried capers and crispy prosciutto); petite filet & North Atlantic lobster tail or main filet mignon & North Atlantic lobster tail; and New York cheesecake with strawberry red wine sauce or chocolate gooey butter cake with honeycomb brittle and chocolate/caramel sauce. Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar is offering a special menu spotlighting the Calabria region of Italy. Available through September and priced at $64.95 per person, the menu includes choice of Italian grilled cheese with nduja, grilled marinated Spanish octopus, flash fried porcini mushrooms or salami with sopressata and Pecorino; Calabrese sausage with guanciale, homemade spaghetti, eggplant parmigiana, sausage rigatoni, aquarello risotto or slow-braised honeycomb beef stomach lining; and fore di latte gelato with licorice liqueur. The Pepper Club, the new Asian ocean fusion and sushi bar restaurant by chef Todd English located inside The English Hotel in the Arts District, is offering a four-course dinner and show package. After dining, guests walk directly across the street to enjoy “Particle Ink: Speed of Dark,” a mind-bending installation with live performances, street art and imaginative and interactive technology. The dinner includes choice of miso soup, spring mix salad or Caesar salad; teriyaki short ribs, shrimp tempura or kanpaccio (with Serrano chilis and passion fruit shoyu); 10-piece sashimi platter, teriyaki short ribs or mushroom fried rice/vegetable medley; and crème brûlée.The package is priced at $120 per person (inclusive of tax, tip and show tickets) and is available through Sept. 5 on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays. Esther’s Kitchen's chef/owner James Trees and bar manager Tucker St. John have announced a new summer cocktail menu featuring eight new cocktails. Priced at $15, the cocktails include Resting Peach Face: vodka, Seville orange, Select aperitivo, peach and anisette; Serenitea: gin, chamomile, honey, lemon and elderflower; Sasha Velour: gin, creme de violette, absinthe, amarena cherry and lemon; Modern Day Disco: tequila, aperol, watermelon, Dolin Blanc and lime; The Passion of The Fruit: rum, Gran Classico, passion fruit, hibiscus and Peychaud bitters; Caminante: bourbon, La Quintinye Rouge, Gajardo bitters and orange peel; Hotel Santa Fe: coffee-infused rye, Foro Amaro, aged rum, chile liqueur and mole bitters; and In for a Penny: prosciutto-washed mezcal, lemon, melon juice, simple syrup and celery bitters.
