Openings

Las Vegas Brewing Company is now open and is the city’s newest brewery. The entrance features wall murals depicting iconic Las Vegas symbols and images, which is fitting, as co-owner Jamie Dolder is a fourth generation native Las Vegan. The kitchen is helmed by executive chef Hollin Rothmann, who has held positions at Picasso, Sage and Carson Kitchen. Her elevated taproom menu is designed to complement the house-made beers, with items including sausage board, beer cheese fondue, Pimento cheese made with the brewery’s Penny O’ Reilly’s Red Ale, spinach & artichoke flatbread, house-cured chicken wings with sweet and spicy citrus glaze and pretzel bread pudding with salted caramel sauce. The beer is crafted by local brewing legend Dave Otto, who previously brewed at Holy Cow!/Big Dog’s and PT’s Brewing. Currently the core beers are a West Coast IPA, Hazy IPA, Blonde Ale, Irish Red, Irish Stout, Light Lager and a rotating Sour Ale. Las Vegas Brewing Company, 3101 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV 89128, 702-333-4858.

The 4,500-square-foot restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating, 14 high-def TVs, rustic brick walls, a wraparound bar, neon art, a live scorpion tank and an open kitchen. Complementing the fare are margaritas like the Daddy’s Original with 100% Weber Blue Agave Reposado, triple sec & house-made sweet & sour; and Nacho Daddy beers made by local Bad Beat Brewing.
