Enjoy a romantic prix-fixe meal at Latil's Landing Restaurant, located in the circa-1700s French Provincial house on the grounds of the Houmas House Plantation and Gardens. (The stately homes are in Darrow, about 60 miles outside of New Orleans.) Select from Cajun/Creole-inspired dishes such as Abita beer-battered shrimp and grits, pork belly cassoulet and coffee-marinated rack of lamb with cherry tomato confit and a sweet potato cake. Finish with classic desserts like bananas Foster or white chocolate bread pudding. Wine pairings are also available. Other dining options at Houmas House include The Carriage House and Café Burnside.
