THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED L'Auberge Bar Restaurant Review:
There are two venues in this warm, homey wooden structure thats been a happy gathering place for several generations of Portlanders. One area adjoins the bar, and in this relaxed, cheerful ambiance youll find excellent bistro dishes, including stunning soups and pâtés; light dishes such as mussel platters, grilled chicken, and flank steak; and desserts, especially an ambrosial, cumulous-cloud-light lemon chiffon cheese cake. The bar itself feels like a mellow party scene, cheery and lively, indeed one of the best places to have a drink late in the evening. Next to the bar is a stunning deck, perhaps the most romantic al fresco dining spot in town: private and floral. A few steps below the main level is a beautiful dining room, with its focal fireplace and old cooking implements: French provincial and modern in feel at once. There the kitchen turns out a small assortment of elegant, more expensive French dishes.
