Laurelthirst Public House Restaurant Review

: Laurelthirst is a neighborhood gem, offering opportunities to hear live music in an intimate, welcoming setting. Many of Portland's best bluegrass, folk and jam bands play here. Sit and listen, or stand up and dance. If hunger pangs strike, there's also a decent bar food menu available that stretches beyond fried snacks. Choose from a wide array of salads, a homemade veggie burger or a bread bowl filled with beans and cheese or turkey chili. On-tap beers and hard cider rotate, offering lots of interesting drink choices. On weekends, people come and go all day, some lingering over breakfast with the newspaper, others enjoying a satisfying vegetarian lunch, shooting some pool with a pitcher of beer near their elbow. Midday Sunday "free-for-all-ages" bluegrass shows draw an exuberant mix of young families.
