THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Coq D'or Restaurant Review:
Cozy up to the cute décor: cow bells hang from the ceiling and an old-world feel prevails. Traditional dishes from Germany and France account for most of the menu here---those seeking something light may want to go elsewhere. From the baked Brie and escargots starters, to the entrées of schnitzel with a fried egg on the side and veal sweetbreads in cream sauce, to the homemade cheesecake and chocolate mousse desserts, this food packs a punch, calorie-wise. We recommend the French onion soup, the crispy potato pancakes served with applesauce and sour cream, and the duck confit. We also recommend a relaxing, post-meal nap. The restaurant is dog-friendly; yours will feel welcome, particularly if you save him a schnitzel.
