Le Da Nang Restaurant Review:

This quasi subterranean restaurant located in the space that was the Thai favorite SEA boasts a name that suggests central Vietnam. Named for the city of Da Nang, which is located in the country’s culinary hot bed, the restaurant Le Da Nang doesn’t actually reveal much influence from its namesake. Instead, there are plenty of Vietnamese classics as well as some Thai standards, perhaps left over from the last tenant. That said, what’s on offer here is both good and affordable. The Saigon pork chop is tender and served in huge portions (never mind that it’s marinated in tamarind). The beef-laden hot pot stew is another good choice, particularly on a cold day. Bun xao, fried noodles with peanut and scallion, is glorified pad thai but when it is this good, what’s in a name?
