Le Petit Marcel offers a casual lunchtime menu from Bistro Laurent, one of Paso Robles’s most popular restaurants. It’s always hard to pass up the spot-on French onion soup for starters, and from there you can opt for a delicate salad of blue crab or the goat cheese and potato salad. Pair either with appetizers such as the croque monsieur or smoked salmon tart to make a meal. Heartier appetites can tuck into entrées such as a steak with true pommes frites or house-made mushroom ravioli with cream sauce. For dessert, share a seasonal fruit and puff pastry or try a couple of the sorbets. The wine list is the same as Bistro Laurent’s, with a good range of both local and imported labels. Service is attentive and deliberate, so relax and enjoy, whether you’re outside on the covered patio or inside on a chilly afternoon.
