THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le P'tit Laurent Restaurant Review

: Visiting Le P’tit Laurent, which is tucked into the hills of Glen Park, is like escaping to Paris’ Montmarte for the evening. The original dark wooden bar, a remnant of the space’s previous life as a divey hangout, offers an inviting welcome to this charming space overflowing with families, native French speakers and European flair. Start your evening with a typical French apéritif --- a Kir, Kir Royal or Le P’tit Laurent’s modern interpretation: bubbly with a splash of elderflower liquor. Then try the mixed green salad with pan-fried artichokes, shallots and balsamic vinaigrette, or escargots dressed in garlic-parsley butter (the sauce is perfect for dipping chunks of hot baguette). Next, consider the sea bass that arrives gently draped over a zucchini and Parmesan gratin and finished with sauce grenobloise. The traditional cassoulet with white beans, duck leg confit, pork and sausage is redolent with fresh rosemary and ideal for a chilly San Francisco night. To finish, go for the distinctly French dessert pain perdu, caramelized brioche dressed with vanilla ice cream. French labels dominate the wine list, with affordable offerings from all the major regions. You’ll leave satisfied but hungry for a Parisian adventure.
