The folks at Lee's are not the sort to coddle customers. In the colorless confines of this suburban burger purveyor the tables and chairs become frills, and cheesy describes the décor more fittingly than the sandwiches. Those who remember the original, legendary Lee's in the New Orleans Central Business District may find these a sad substitute for the patties of yore, but the beef is still ground daily at all Lee's locations, and the slow-fried patties are still embedded with chopped onions that caramelize as the meat cooks. Lee's present-day fans would hardly let a week go by without stopping in for a fix.
