THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Leopold Restaurant Review:

Chicago’s love affair with beer continues in stylish fashion at this Belgian-esque gastropub from the owners of Witts. Michael Dean Reynolds (The Gage) sources ingredients locally, serving what inspires them in a warm, exposed brick and repurposed-wood dining room. The food is comforting, if hearty, and also rewarding; look to seared scallops with shrimp bisque, tomato confit and a baguette crisp, and braised goat with Corsican feta polenta, roasted grapes and pistachios. The edited menu never feels contrived, a fact that carries through to the cheese course or finales, like sour cherry Belgian waffles with malted vanilla ice cream. The decent beer selection may not wow you, but it has plenty of finds; ditto the cocktail list.
