Les Coulisses Vintage features a setting in the Forties style, simply chic. In the kitchen, chef Frédéric Barette treats classical dishes with talent and an assertive taste. Mackerel is marinated in white wine, but still remains firm in the mouth with a well-dosed tangy little punch. The grilled sirloin steak with béarnaise sauce and bone marrow, perfectly cooked, is a pure delight. If you're keen on kidneys, the veal kidney with purple mustard and Crécy purée will give total satisfaction. The raspberry tartlet with light cream and the cottage cheese faisselle are both delicious. The value for the price is great, and the service is very warm and friendly.
