LG's Prime Steakhouse Restaurant Review:

The key to operating multiple restaurant locations is consistency, and LG’s Prime Steakhouse in downtown Palm Springs does a good job of executing its menu to match what takes place behind the kitchen door of its La Quinta outpost. What sets the two establishments apart is ambience. The setting in Palm Springs, with its climate-controlled patio and inviting alfresco fire pits, is a bit more relaxed than its counterpart down the road. However, the menu is almost identical. The hand-trimmed beef ensures textbook marbling, and the steak arrives at the table with an audible sizzle. Don’t miss the Caesar salad, a shareable classic made tableside by a skilled waiter, complete with raw egg and fresh anchovies. LG’s extensive offerings also include fresh fish, lobster tail and Alaskan king crab legs, along with a wine list boasting more than 500 selections. The array of appetizers and side dishes can be hit or miss. The portobello crab mushrooms, which arrived in a pool of vodka sauce, didn’t make the grade. However, grilled asparagus spears hit the mark with a nice veil of hollandaise sauce. A rotating selection of treats is presented via a dessert cart, including a silky crème brûlée and a vanilla bean ice cream from McConnell's in Santa Barbara.
