Lighthouse Restaurant Review:

Called the Lighthouse because of its floor-to-ceiling windows, this cavernous, minimalist restaurant probably won't be confused with its namesake as you watch the cars pass by on the BQE. Though service can be absent (this is hipster central, after all), a satisfying meal is in reach. With twee and clever names, the cocktails stand up to the humor with which they're served. De Peche Mode with rum, peach lambic, fresh ginger, Prosecco and peach bitters is refreshing and a fine apéritif. Daily ceviche is fresh and oysters served with pico de gallo are a nice twist on the usual. Choose a few pickled vegetables to make a satisfying palate cleanser. Strip steak is served simply with roasted jalapeños and garlic. The lamb chops, however, are distinctive with their grilled summer squash, watercress, toasted pumpkin seeds, shaved radishes, garlic aïoli and anchovies, finished with salsa verde. Dessert is an afterthought---apple cake or pie of the day---so we say head back to the cocktail list to finish off your meal with a digestif.
