The Little Beet Table's rustically simple interior is loud, so sit as close as possible to your dining companion. Start with an order of sunflower hummus with grilled pita bread and sip on a glass of wine from the long list. Entrées might include a good bacon-topped burger (though the bun is too crumbly); rigatoni with arugula pistou, butternut squash, roasted mushroom and Parmesan; roasted chicken with Peruvian potato, charred citrus, watermelon radish and aji verde; and seared salmon with celery root, braised leek and watercress gremolata. Dessert options are minimal, but if you need to satisfy a sweet tooth, go for the apple crumble with oat streusel and vanilla ice cream. Cocktails offer interesting options, like the spicy carrot margarita. |
