Several restaurants in New Orleans and its suburbs go by the name Little Tokyo. Komei Horimoto, the head sushi chef, owns this one. Before opening this unpretentious, very tranquil spot near Lee Circle, Horimoto worked in New York. His experience extends back almost 30 years. This may be why the rolls are consistently firm, subtly flavored and clean-tasting. Among those on the hit parade are the crunchy roll and the barbecue eel. A stickler for tradition, Horimoto does not marinate his ingredients.
