Loca Luna Restaurant Review:

Although a few dishes come from Spain, such as the paella, most reflect South American traditions. Mexico is represented by a series of tacos. Dishes are small in portion size but high in price. Seven bucks acquires four oysters enveloped in a flavor-dominating coconut curry sauce, or four fried shrimp with fresh mango and jícama. Grilled lamb chops are a better option at $10 for a portion of three. South American-inspired mixed drinks --- caipirinhas, for instance --- mojitos and pisco sours are the quaffs of choice, and there are a few mediocre beers and sangría. Tuesday is all-you-can-eat tapas night for $15, and Wednesday you can get salsa lessons. Live music starting at 9 p.m. on weekends offers some lively rhythms. Although large groups of 20- and 30-somethings still hold sway, the place doesn't seem nearly as hotly popular as when it first opened. Could the price/value ratio have something to do with it?
