![]() : Owners Joe Pettenger and Taylor Drew spotlight beef at their trendy LoHi gathering spot that features an accessible, and affordable, menu of classic cuts: filet, strip and a 10-ounce flatiron, all paired with frites and a choice of sauce, including blue cheese butter and chimichurri. Starters --- think fried calamari, hickory-smoked ribs and mustard seed-crusted pork belly --- are augmented by fresh oysters and shrimp cocktail. The bar, a mix of counter space, communal seating and booths, swells with hipsters from the 'hood while the softly lit dining room buzzes with families and couples. Classic cocktails, including a house barrel-aged Manhattan, share space on the beverage menu alongside craft beers and a formidable wine selection that zigzags from a 2011 Bocard Bourgogne Blanc to a 2010 Rivetto Barolo Nebbiolo. And the duo of daily happy hours --- one from 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., and a second from 10 p.m. to close --- offers two-for-one draft beers, wines by the glass and well cocktails, plus food specials. |
