Lomzynianka Restaurant Review:

Lomzynianka is a tiny twelve-table spot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, that’s helmed by Darek in the front room and Janina in the kitchen. The menu, which is affordable enough to make you think you’re actually in Poland, is loaded with hearty classics: rich beef goulash, huge cabbages stuffed with rice and pork, greasy but good kielbasa. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Polish restaurant if pierogi weren’t on the menu. Diners can take them boiled or fried in four different flavors: cheese and potato, sauerkraut and mushroom, meat, and farmer cheese, all of which explode with flavor on the first bite. One warning about this BYOB eatery: it closes at 9 p.m. nightly, so come early and come hungry.
