With Som Saa packing up shop at Climpson's Arch to pursue its permanent site (due to open early 2016), a new residency has been announced for this hot Hackney spot in the form of Portuguese chef, Leandro Carreira. Carreira comes via the kitchens of Viajante, Mugaritz, and most recently, Lyle’s. Having been chosen from a list of more than 20 applicants, he started his residency on October 30, taking a simple approach, serving a typically Portuguese menu for sharing. Carreira showcases a mostly Portuguese wine list and collaborating with a local baker to provide breads and pastries typical to his home country.
