Look Restaurant Review

: The owners of this Prospect Heights Thai restaurant sure know how to pick a name. Look, the sister venue of Elmhurst, Queens’ Plant Love House, serves home-style Thai food like its sibling. And similar to that sibling, dishes such as complex sweet-and-sour, don’t-even-try-to-pronounce-it num prik phow tom yum goong yai, a soup comprised of bacon, rice noodles, ground pork, egg and shrimp, land on the table ready to incinerate taste buds with peppers and spice. (The spice averse should beg for restraint from the kitchen.) In the bowl of khao soy, overflowing with crispy fried noodles, is a tender drumstick floating in the tangy sauce. There are also excellent pork dumplings and incendiary but satisfying chicken wings.
