The original of this popular little place is near Ala Moana Center. But I Love Country’s healthy plate concept has proved to be so popular, it’s now expanded to another location in Kahala Mall. The name has nothing to do with the food or décor or location or anything else discernible to the hungry customer. Never mind, the food is great. Grilled garlic chicken with sweet peppers and onions, mahi mahi with lemon butter caper sauce, tofu stir-fried with Asian vegetables. The menu is large and ever changing. The portions are generous. It’s order at the counter, and you may not find a table, especially in Kahala Mall. I Love Country is popular with a whole range of people. A meal for two, with beverage, runs about $15.
