Imagine a restaurant that serves dishes from nearly every country in the world. Fancy food. Delicious fancy food. At moderate prices. Now imagine that it's served in a 100-year-old pink house by friendly people. The specialty cocktails are old-school, ranging from steamed milk punch laced with whiskey to the fruit-juicy Hula Hoop. And the burgers are notable as well. Stop daydreaming and head over to Lovely Hula Hands (named after a 1940s song title) where the mood is happy and the food will transport you to a very special place. The expertly prepared entrées include Cuban pumpkin curried rice, Thai-style flatiron steak in lettuce wraps and a simply divine roast chicken in Marsala-onion sauce. The only problem at LHH is the lack of space (ten tables) and a no reservations policy; expect a long wait on weekends.
