LowBrau Restaurant Review:

This midtown hipster hangout may be trendy, but it’s a trend worth following. Located in a popular entertainment district, the space is rustic yet modern, classy yet relaxed, attracting 20-somethings and families alike. Décor is faintly woodsy, lined with birch trunks and whitewashed cuckoo clocks. Long communal tables encourage socializing, while a shaded outdoor patio is both dog- and kid-friendly. The menu is simple, featuring sausages, sandwiches and sides explicitly designed to accompany the real draw --- beer. Highlights range from a spicy andouille pork sausage with Fresno chiles to a walnut-feta chicken with black pepper, and a boar sausage with cherries and herbs. Non-meat eaters will delight in the several vegan options --- think eggplant and fennel sausage and a smoked apple-potato-sage. Other favorites are the equally indulgent duck fat fries, served “dirty” style with hot peppers and caramelized onions. The extensive beer menu includes lagers, stouts, IPAs, ciders and everything in between, and a large selection of locally-crafted artisan brews. Stick around after hours to see musicians perform and DJs spin.
