Chef-owner Nicholas Lucchesi's restaurant, Lucca, is a stand-out for its dishes' pleasure on the eyes and on the taste buds. Served by an attentive staff, preparations like the calamari arrabiata are amply portioned, and above all, comforting. Lucchesi's creative side is at its peak with the pistachio-encrusted red snapper, while the more standard meat dishes, such as the filet mignon, will put a smile on the meat-lover's face. Make sure to also take a peek into the menu's "Parmigiana Corner" for a generous serving of familiar dishes, including shrimp, chicken, veal and eggplant. Top it all off with the sweet Marsala-and-Chianti-poached pear, served with dolce de leche ice cream, cinnamon syrup and pistachio biscotti.
