THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lucci's Restaurant Review:
This is the red-checked-tablecloth, Italian neighborhood place of your old memories or old movies---inexpensive and just homey Italian, as one of the waitresses describes it. In a town full of good restaurants, the bar is high and even the old favorites like eggplant Parmesan, chicken Marsala, and antipasto in this bargain venue are fresh, well prepared, and served hot. Youll find great value, especially with the Early Bird Specials between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. that offer pasta with a choice of five sauces, soup and a Caesar salad for $8.50. And if you can still entertain dessert after the generous portions, the tiramisu is everyones favorite. Luccis has a fairly sophisticated wine list for such an unpretentious place including a nice 97 Chianti Aziano Ruffino at a reasonable $4.25 by the glass.
