M Bistro retains the look and feeling of Mediterranean antiquity of its predecessor, Mosaica, with angel murals, vaulted ceilings and a dancing fountain. Hors d'oeuvres, salads, wood-fired pizzas and entrées complement a serviceable wine selection and a list of serious cocktails. Seafood---salmon, tilapia, halibut, grouper, tuna and, of course, Lake Erie walleye---is the feature here; steaks, chops and poultry snuggle up with Italian-influenced pasta accompaniments. M Bistro's plats du jour range from sweetbreads to bouillabaisse. In the large, wood-paneled bar, a grown-up after work crowd checks out more traditional pub food (and each other) along with a well-edited list of beers, wine and cocktail creations.
