THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ma-Ya Restaurant Review:

At this East Village Thai-tapas spot, the duck salad is crispy and the saké cocktails refreshing. A group of architects opened Ma-Ya, which explains the casually groovy design in which mid-20th century design (Eero Saarinen Tulip chairs) and some beautiful old Thai pieces mix merrily. Sit upstairs and munch on pleasing familiar dishes like pad Thai, along with some fusion creations like a sliced avocado swimming in Penang curry sauce, or recline on a couch with a cocktail in the downstairs lounge.
