Seductively lit dining rooms decorated with carefully selected Oriental art works cannily combine two trends: supper club and Pacific Rim cooking. Intriguing ingredients like Thai black rice and Chinese long beans turn up frequently, and homey dishes often get an Asian twist, such as a chili-plum demi-glace to perk up pork loin paired with wasabi-mashed potatoes. Bulgogi-marinated beef tenderloin and seared fish are other entrée possibilities. Mussels steeped in coconut-milk-curry broth and beautifully composed salads are worthy openers. Finish with something chocolate or ginger crème brûlée. Mega-martinis, shaken not stirred, are among the many potables. Good service, some gaffes.
