THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Madison Park Cafe Restaurant Review:
This country-style French restaurant has a sun-dappled courtyard that’s lovely for summer dinners or brunch. On winter nights, a cozy fireplace in the intimate dining room casts a romantic glow. Owner Karen Binder has traveled throughout Europe and she brings her worldly experiences to the table with a menu that leans toward comforting fare. We've long enjoyed the fricassée of rabbit and the cassoulet, a fragrant bean stew brimming with duck confit, lamb, pork and andouille sausage, served in a petite earthenware casserole. Appetizers of note include a robust onion soup and a roasted portobello mushroom paired with hazelnut-crusted fromage blanc. Dessert favorites include pear clafoutis with crème fraîche glacé and a chocolate sampler with truffles, petits fours and pot de crème. The wine list is tight and well-informed. Brunch is a multi-ethnic affair with selections ranging from french toast and an Italian sausage strata to huevos rancheros and blintzes.
