Plantation shutters, soothing wood accents and a menu combining favorites from New Orleans to the Texas Gulf coast define a pleasing Southern atmosphere. The best seating is out on the spacious deck, where you can watch the crowds go by or listen to live blues and rockabilly. Though the food can border on basic, it has its moments. Bayou selections include shrimp or chicken Creole, stewed with tomatoes, sweet peppers and onions and served over white rice; and the Magnolia Dinner, which combines two other popular entrées, baked eggplant stuffed with shrimp and crab meat, and classic, cheesy crab au gratin. And lest you forget this is crawfish country, seasonal favorites include crawfish etouffée, fried crawfish, crawfish pie, crawfish au gratin or a combo of all of the above.
