Little places that take the time and trouble to cook from scratch get our vote. When you’re looking for a light snack, a quick lunch, or a spot to grab a freshly squeezed glass of lemonade, Magnolia Café sets the benchmark. Located in one of Roswell’s historic buildings, the café makes its own pimento cheese for a sandwich selection, which is terrific grilled. The slice of tomato on the side actually looked worth eating, and was! There’s a short wine list, with some nice French selections. Desserts look awesome, and the ice cream is from Greenwood’s, Atlanta’s premier commercial producer. Superior coffee comes from an excellent roaster. This is an altogether worthy operation.
