THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Maharaja Restaurant Review:
If you have never eaten Indian food before, the lunch buffet at Maharaja is a great place to start. For $5.95, you can try everything from tandoori chicken to channa masala and go back for seconds and thirds if you want. Dinners are great as well. We love the chicken tikka, which is boneless chicken pieces marinated in yogurt, cooked in the tandoor and served at the table sizzling on an iron skillet with sliced onion. Kashmiri naan, a tandoor-baked bread stuffed with coconut, raisins and nuts, is a real treat. Located in the blue collar Greenwood neighborhood (other locations include West Seattle and Capitol Hill), the dining room will draw you with its wonderful aromas of clove, cinnamon and assorted curries. Follow your nose.
