Majestic Cafe Restaurant Review:

Hip and urbane, the Majestic attracts an eclectic crowd drawn from nearby Wayne State University and downtown’s medical and theater districts. Check out the specials on the chalkboard at the entrance: you may encounter a stir-fry or fish specials. Entrées like the bourbon pasta, sweet potato spätzle and chicken potpie are served in heaping helpings. Other choices include a New York strip with mashed potatoes and pan-seared salmon. The place nearly rocks with a bowling alley overhead and a music theater behind it, and the restaurant's back brick walls double as an art gallery. Sunday brunch is a must, given the likes of New Orleans-style crab cakes, baked Brie, a roasted beet salad and lobster mac ‘n’ cheese. Huge windows let diners see passing cars on Woodward Avenue.
