Every city needs a Mambu, an unpredictable, restless restaurant that never stops tinkering. The menu is all over the place in the best possible way, so you can start a meal with a lobster roll, move into some coconut-curry mussels and then maybe the house paella, finally ending up with an of-the-moment dessert. To back up a bit, we also recommend ordering the chef’s daily risotto. House-made desserts tend to focus on fruit-based dishes, such as a mango crème brûlée and fruit sorbets. While the wine list isn't huge, it does offer some lovely choices, and many are available by the glass. Romantic, dimly lit nooks are a couples' favorite in this cottage-turned-restaurant space.
