THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mango Restaurant Review:
This trendy spot is a view with a room. Walk through owner Chris Lowers Iguana Grill next-door and into the still, cool Mango. Its billed as tropical cuisine and certainly is a step into paradise beside the Iguanas Mexican Grill. Meant as a step up, too, Mangos food is spiffier (jicama coconut salad, coffee rubbed filet of beef, Asian crab spring rolls), tablecloths are white, and flowers are veddy, veddy ex-ah-teek. The service is, well, stuffy, and prices are a little exotic, too. Still, the food is clever and mighty tasty. A cool breeze that blows into an otherwise hot and dry town, Mango is a nice contrast to the boisterous Iguana and has plans to loosen up a little. Put the paper back on those tables and keep washing up wonderful food on our sandy state.
