THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Marbella Seafood Restaurant Restaurant Review:
It seems like a total anachronism to label a restaurant Continental these days---but thats just the image Marbella Seafood evokes. Except for the décor. It trades plush-carpet stuffiness for a certain freshness that tends to inspire confidence in the main product: seafood. Seafood such as coquilles St.-Jacques, oysters Rockefeller and cilantro-spiked crab cakes on the appetizer side. Seafood the likes of Belgian stewed mussels, crab and scallop-stuffed lemon sole and broiled lobster tail with drawn butter under the entrée banner. But theres another aspect of Marbellas approach that reinforces the restaurants Continental drift: table-side service. Theres a Caesar for a minimum of two people, steak Diane is sautéed with all the usual accoutrements, and bananas Foster and cherries jubilee are flamed before your very eyes. This implies a certain level of serving sophistication---or at least one savvy server. Pray thats the one you get.
