A bright blue awning at this bi-level Italian leads to an airy, contemporary and elegant interior. White walls, dark wood and glass give the dining room a subtly nautical feel. The cuisine, inspired by the Isle of Capri, includes starters like roasted, extra virgin olive oil braised baby artichokes with crisp outer leaves and tender hearts and meaty braised Pacific squid cooked in a tomato ragù with fresh herbs and spices. Pastas such as house-made spinach and cheese tortelloni tossed in a black and white truffle cream sauce are savory and rich, while pistachio crusted halibut is flaky and full of toasted and nutty flavors. For dessert, expect Italian favorites like creamy tiramisu and tartufo with a cherry center. The wine list has international as well as Italian regional varietals.
