THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mari Luna Latin Grille Restaurant Review:

After chef Jaime Luna’s success with his Mari Luna Mexican Grille in an old Dairy Queen, he created his Latin-influenced fine dining restaurant one mile north. Bright, vivacious colors surround guests, from the banquettes, bar and even the alfresco rooftop dining. Sangría and mojitos, good choices during happy hour, dot the tabletops and the bar. All dinners start with the famous warm popovers with accompanying mango butter. They pair well with the appetizers: sopa de langosta (lobster bisque) or the ceviche de marisco with shrimp, scallops and tilapia. Cuban ropa vieja of shredded brisket, stewed tomatoes, peppers and onions or paella for two are always good choices, but chef Luna is a master when it comes to fish --- consider the fish of the day. The Sunday brunch buffet includes soups, salads and entrées, as well as a waffle and omelet station, steamed shrimp, grilled vegetables, lox and bagels, desserts and mimosas. It’s one of the best brunches in the Baltimore region and a great value.
