Matsuri Restaurant Review:
One wonders just how many sushi bars Southern California can support. Matsuri is one of those many neighborhood Japanese eateries that are nice to have around when the urge for a respectable dragon or spider roll hits. The spicy tuna salad is excellent, and you'll also find items like ankimo (monkfish liver) and toro, although Matsuri is not a place for people who are particularly discriminating about their sushi. Decent tempura and teriyaki are also available in this smart-looking restaurant with white-washed walls and contemporary accents, and the service is extremely accommodating.
