The Mayflower Pub, San Rafael, CA

The Mayflower Pub Restaurant Review

: The Mayflower Pub is a Marin County institution, famous for its British food and its half-timbered Tudor-style décor. It’s also known for one of the most popular St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the North Bay, with live Irish music into the wee hours and corned beef and cabbage anchoring the menu. The kitchen turns out traditional English breakfast, shepherd’s pie, fish ‘n’ chips and sausage rolls. Don't miss the rich Guinness, steak and mushroom pie and the bangers and mash with onion gravy. The bar offers an intriguing selection of brews on tap including Newcastle Brown Ale, Guinness and Boddingtons. Weekly Irish and jazz music sessions, football (soccer) matches, darts tournaments and trivia nights make the Mayflower a community hub for ex-pats and locals alike.
