Anchored on the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 36th Street, Measure lounge serves several purposes. Firstly, the view from a window-side seat delivers Big Apple entertainment as people from all over the world stride past. Lunch and weekend brunch are relaxing and sedate affairs in the high-ceilinged room. Massive-portioned brioche french toast could accommodate a few hungry mouths, three-cheese grilled cheese (with bacon) is comfort fare on a plate, and lobster mac ‘n’ cheese is a must. In the evening, the menu expands to include Indonesian, Korean and Italian specialties, in addition to sandwiches and salads. Creative cocktails provide a reason to visit just to drink: the cold brew coffee-spiked Negroni and potent Bloody Mary are standouts.
