Meet & Eat Restaurant Review:

With its modern industrial feel and gourmet comfort food menu, Meet & Eat is a welcome dining option in the Land Park neighborhood. The interior is clean and contemporary, with varying shades of gray offset by pops of shiny steel and glass light fixtures. A hand-drawn map of the U.S. dominates one wall, while an opposing wall lists a bevy of burger facts. As a self-described “coffee and gastro lounge,” Meet & Eat offers casual dining classics with artisanal twists. Our burger was well-cooked and juicy, retaining the fresh-from-the-flattop sizzle so common in old-school burger joints, while non-traditionalists can try the chicken, salmon or lamb burgers. The chicken club was decadent with its creamy avocado and crunch of toasted, buttered bread. The taco bar offers up several incarnations, including pork belly with jalapeño sauce and for breakfast, cream cheese with smoked salmon and herbs. More than a dozen craft beers are available on tap, many of them local, as well as California wines, and locavores will also appreciate the Temple coffee, roasted just a few miles away.
