24Grille Restaurant Review:

Inside The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, which when it opened in 1924 was the world's tallest hotel, 24Grille is all steel columns, pipes and ducts, original but painted black. Silver-studded, black velvet details and lustrous wood feel both Art Moderne and 21st century. For those looking to graze at dinnertime, plates like crab cakes with avocado mousse, cilantro and chili salsa and Cajun-crusted tiki wings with grilled pineapple get the job done. Other musts include pan-seared trout topped with Greek olives, feta cheese, tomato and banana peppers, and a Kona coffee-crusted, house-cut rib-eye with a mushroom ragoût, roasted sweet potatoes and coleslaw. The value-driven wine list features vino from around the globe, and the breadth of sparkling wines is quite extensive. In fact, its boast is being Detroit’s first Champagne bar, with more than 30 Moët Hennessy products by the glass or bottle. The popular Sunday brunch proposes the likes of peanut butter french toast, duck confit hash with potatoes, and poached egg and harissa crema. Desserts include bananas Foster cheesecake, white chocolate bread pudding, peach cobbler and Godiva chocolate Bundt cake.
