Ada St. Restaurant Review:

Tucked on an industrial street across from a Streets & Sanitations lot, this easily overlooked (read: unmarked) eatery from Michael Kornick and David Morton (DMK Burger Bar, Fish Bar, County BBQ, DMK Burger & Fish, Henry's Swing Club) is small. Very small. And its floor plan is quirky-cool. Pass through an updated elevator shaft to a dimly lit corridor --- paying mind to the vinyl collection and cozy private dining area --- to come upon the one-room dining room and bar, which emanates with tunes diners have picked. There are but a handful of tables, though a summertime patio expands the space. Shareable plates are everything you’d hope them to be: well-executed, fairly straightforward and boldly flavored. Note, too, the thoughtfully curated cocktail list while munching on crispy black-eyed peas. Next up: steak tartare with fried capers and a hen egg. Whether you settle on pretzel bread pudding with maple whipped cream or chocolate ganache with olive oil and sea salt, linger for a glass of wine (pared down to sparkling, white and some reds), cocktail or non-alcoholic concoctions.
