Arya Global Cuisine Restaurant Review:
Executive chef Mike Hashemi crafts an array of Persian dishes drawing from his heritage as well as international preparations based on his cooking experience and preferences. Crispy-chewy house-made bread, a cross between pita and naan, starts the meal. Shish liek presents thin-sliced marinated lamb chops, broiled and arriving on a bed of rice, spice- and saffron-rich. Special Persian stews and Persian flavored rices offer an extensive glimpse of Iranian cuisine in an approachable form, while fesenjoon is composed with pomegranate paste, walnuts and chicken, served over rice. Persian desserts, from ice creams to pastries, complete the global tour, which the décor reinforces. Friday and Saturday nights bring entertainment alternating between belly dancing and live jazz or Italian music. Also located at 19930 Stevens Creek Blvd., Cupertino, 408-996-9606.
