Asiana Cafe Restaurant Review:

The sibling duo of Jing and Alan Lee upended the concept of Asian cuisine in Greenwich with a creative Pan-Asian approach. At this chic yet unpretentious sister restaurant of Penang Grill, cherry wood paneling, textured walls and inset wall lighting create a stylish dining area --- a fine backdrop in which to explore a consistently well-executed menu. Among the dishes that demonstrate the restaurant at its best is the crab meat shu mai, a twist on the usual pork and shrimp variety. Miso-glazed salmon is full of delicate and subtly pungent flavors, while a chicken Thai fried brown rice provides a Southeast Asian and whole-grain alternative to a Chinese classic. The Asiana roast duck is aromatic. A very reasonable wine list features crisp Sauvignon Blancs and red blends that work with the menu. Although the emphasis is on the savory, those craving a sweet finish can choose from a selection of ice creams.
