Atasca Restaurant Review:
The original Atasca located on Broadway merged into this one Kendall Square location that offers an Iberian wine list and rustic Portuguese favorites. Start off with grilled linguiça and pineapple paired with a glass of reasonably priced white Casa de Vila-Verde before moving on to the caldeirada de marisco, the traditional shellfish stew served with jasmine rice. Seafood dishes include arroz de mariscos a valenciana (shrimp, mussels, clams, squid, pork, linguiça and chicken with Portuguese style paella). There is also a good selection of chicken, pork and steak entrées. Be sure to save room for the rich bolo de chocolate walnut-crusted caramel cake.
