Baleen Restaurant Review:

As you'd expect of the signature restaurant in a very swanky beachside hotel, Baleen is all about catering to people putting on the dog, celebrating, conducting business or otherwise livin' large. The indoor-outdoor approach lends a little welcome casualness to the proceedings. At dinner, start off with a seafood platter with shrimp, oysters, gulf catch ceviche and more, or the "Floridian Salad" composed of shaved hearts of palm, grapefruit, cucumber, heirloom tomato and blood orange vinaigrette. Continue with mains such as the chef's signature seared yellowtail snapper accompanied by red onion and olive relish, purple potatoes, mojo marinated jumbo shrimp, peanut mango ocopa sauce, finger lime, pickled jalapeños and choclo corn. If you're in the mood for meat, there’s lamb osso buco, filet mignon and guava barbecue glazed pork tenderloin. Finally, linger over crème brûlée or fresh-churned ice cream in flavors like dulce de leche. The lengthy wine list highlights offerings from Napa and France.
